I’ve been anxiously awaiting these golden beauties to pop- and today was the day!

My love for flowers is growing every day and I literally dream about rows of flower beds … and how fun it would be to have my own roadside stand for fresh cut flowers

What am I doing here? Getting these daffodils in silica as soon as I could. Fresher the better!

Items needed:
Small plastic air tight container
bag of @wisedry_
Small cup to scoop the sand ( silica is very toxic, so you should avoid touching it and breathing its dust. )

💛stick the flowers upright in a small layer of sand, then scoop by scoop, fill and cover all the petals. Seal the container and check back in a couple weeks!

This is a gorgeous but simple statement piece- here shown with breastmilk in honor of a special angel baby.

Giving all the heart eyes to this beautiful Milky Mama necklace 😍.

This was created using two inclusions of hair from twins, opal flakes, gold flakes and shimmer… and designed to resemble a tree. Baby hair is so thin and dainty- it requires A L O T of patience and creativity to manipulate it while still allowing it to look natural. I couldn’t be more proud of how this one turned out.

I met her when I very first announced I was making breastmilk jewelry, from a referral of one of my very first rings! Fast forward nearly 2 years later, we were able to brainstorm and share thoughts on design, metals, inclusions… and look what she came up with!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Congratulations to this wonderful mama of twins- (check out that tree pendant- I used two hair clippings to twist the trunk and make branches!! So in love with how it turned out!!)

I created this memorial ring recently... Ashes, pearl shimmer, and gold flakes were added to this beautiful sterling silver band with accent stones. This ring was made in honor of a very special mother, for a daughter still on her own journey of healing.

Making memorial keepsakes can be difficult for some because of how personal and sacred the inclusions are… and I completely understand it is hard to trust a total stranger with such precious things. A dear friend recently posted something about leaning in to the stillness, and letting yourself think without distractions. I realized that I am the absolute worst at turning my brain off and just being present. If I’m working, I need music. If I’m cooking, I need tv and music and social media. If I’m driving, I’m making mental lists and trying to solve the world’s problems in one trip. There’s probably a pill for that 🫣… but instead, I think I’ll use my studio time to focus on one thing for the day. Baby steps….amiright?
